The allegations arose from a lawsuit filed by a former statistician for the state Department of Corrections, Maureen O'Keefe, accusing prison officials of falsifying figures about mentally ill and violent inmates. Maureen O'Keefe accused Rick Raemisch, the prisons director and his department of embellishing the results of reforms he implemented following the murder of his predecessor, Tom Clements.
Under the settlement, Maureen O'Keefe resigned as of Dec. 31, and will be paid $262,468 plus accrued leave time and $124,000 over the 14 months she was on administrative leave.
